Wildlife and the Wine Country

This is a must do for naturalists who love wine.  Enjoy the spectacular San Diego Wild Animal Park first thing in the morning.  Partake in the photo caravan tour (like a safari!) or a scenic hot air balloon ride (weather permitting) over the savannah.  Next visit a local vineyard for a scenic lunch, wine tour, and tasting.

Kayaking Safari

Ocean kayak along the rocky cliffs in a local ecological reserve.   Visit the 7 caves where we frequently encounter California sea lions and harbor seals.  As you paddle above kelp forests and submarine canyons, naturalists will share stories about the history of the area and the ecological wonders.  Every trip has a unique experience and there is always an amazing story to share.  After kayaking we will have lunch at one of our favorite Mexican eateries.

Cruising Coronado

A family favorite.  Take the Ferry across San Diego Bay, birthplace of San Diego, to Coronado Island.  Tour the bay and historic neighborhoods on beach cruisers.  Naturalists share stories about the development of the bay and Coronado, including some of the local ghost stories. Enjoy lunch at the famous Hotel del Coronado.  Live music may be available.
