HOW YOU CAN HELP

 There are many ways you can help contribute to the Shakti Community and make lasting change in the lives of our apprentices. 

• Join our Events Committee – we need fun, motivated and outgoing individuals to help create our seasonal events and coach apprentices on how to plan and run events. You can also help the day of one of our events. 

• Participate in organizational development - support staff and help with our newsletter distribution, fundraising letters, filing, word processing and data entry. 

• Assist with household repairs and maintenance.  

• Spend time Gardening at our service house.   

• Utilize your attention to detail to lend a hand and provide basic support with our financial services (this includes writing thank you notes and compiling donor info). 

• Assist with donation pick-ups and rummage sales.

• Add to the pot and be on our Friday night dinner cooking crew. 

• Lend a hand with our food shops and water fill-ups. 

• Become an active member of our Board of Directors - we need professional mentors for Shakti staff to sit on our board who are motivated by our mission and engaged in the lives of our apprentices.

• Tell a friend about us and invite them to this orientation.

• Contribute abundance – make a donation by sponsoring an apprentice or donating items for our homes and offices.

 All of our helping hands are involved in our community and with our apprentices.  We need your help to grow our organization and serve more youth in need.
