President Murmu Approves Gujarat Uniform Civil Code

President Droupadi Murmu has approved Gujarat’s Uniform Civil Code, creating common rules for marriage, divorce, succession and live-in relationships. The law exempts Scheduled Tribes but will not take effect until the state notifies its implementation rules.
